The prevention measures proposed here are simple, effective and economical, as is appropriate when dealing with non-priority health problems.
- 1. - Even without knowing it, any woman of childbearing age may be pregnant
- 2. - Ideally, complete your family while you are still young
- 3. - Prenatal check-ups are the best guarantee for a healthy pregnancy
- 4. - It is important to get vaccinated against rubella before becoming pregnant
- 5. - Medications should be avoided, except for those that are essential
- 6. - Alcoholic beverages harm pregnancy
- 7. - Do not smoke and avoid environments where people smoke
- 8. - Eat everything and eat well, preferring fruits and vegetables
- 9. - Ask whether your usual type of work is harmful to pregnancy
- 10. - When in doubt, consult a doctor or a specialized service
